After the massive success of the first few Saturday Sunset events, we are ramping it up in 2018! The people have spoken and we have listened, adding a second Saturday date every month, the second Saturday of each month, in fact. Thus doubling our fun with the unique sonic experience that is dj mr. nick, providing the perfect soundtrack to the perfect place to view the sunset in Waikiki with an eclectic sunset cocktail in your hand. Lucky we live Hawaii!
dj mr. nick…is anything but expected. With a open format selection that encompasses a wide variety of music from around the world, he is among Honolulu’s most eclectic DJs. Any of his DJ sets will, doubtlessly, lead you on a tantalizing sonic journey. One night you may hear delicate Jazz and Bossa Nova, or maybe funky chunky breaks and soul; on another you may here hard, floor packing Electro and House. In any event, he is sure to play something you have never heard before, but will never forget.
As a mainstay in Honolulu’s Chinatown club and art scene for almost a decade, dj mr. nick has enjoyed DJ residencies at thirtyninehotel, Bar 35, and Nextdoor. He has also been the resident DJ for popular events like Showdown in Chinatown & performances by the Cherry Blossom Cabaret, as well as having rotating residences for many different events around Honolulu. dj mr. nick has also played with popular artists such as Diplo, Quantic, Ursula 1000, Fort Knox Five, DJ Shadow, Demitri from Paris, Doc Martin and many more. On top of playing live dj mr. nick also hosts a popular radio show on KTUH .90.3 fm Honolulu. You can hear his program, Bridging the Gap, Saturday nights on Hawaii Public Radio-2 (89.3fm) from 6-8pm.
Hula's Resident DJ Bvby G (pronounced Baby G) spins a wide variety of hits from all genres immediately after dj mr. nick starting at 9:00pm.
Enjoy $7.00 Tito's cocktail specials all day starting at 10:00am thru 2:00am along with a selection of eclectic sunset cocktails.
