The Fresh Start Program is designed give a hand-up to those who are going esperiencing major life-changes through teaching self-care.No matter what is happening in your life … gender transition, divorce, or even just a much-needed change … The Fresh Start Program provides a judgement free and life-afferming environment so that you can build the best version of yourself through self-care and style. So, stop hating your mirror and stop waiting on the Fab Five to swoop in to make your life better. Join us for our free monthly classes, take control and give yourself the skills to stride into the future with confidence.
September 5th - Skincare and Skin Analysis
Clary Sage College's Esthetics instructor will show you how to care for your skin and how to get a clear complexion. Clary Sage students will then do a free skin analysis test for class attendees and give you advise on the best skin care regiment. The first 20 attendees will recieve a free gift and samples (or for as long as supplies last).
October 3rd - Applying Makeup for Your Everyday Style
Clary Sage College's Makeup Artistry instructor and students will show you how to apply and wear everyday makeup. Bring your makeup kit to class and the Clary Sage students and instructors will show each attendee tips on the best way to apply makeup for your shape and coloring. The first 20 Attendees will recieve a free gift and samples (or for as long as supplies last).
November 7th - Hair Care and Styling
Still looking for that perfect hairstyle? Need to update your look? Come check out our workshop where Clary Sage College's Cosmetology instructor will discuss proper hair care, styling and what styles and cuts look good for certain face shapes. Students and instructors will style hair of attendees and show what may work best for you. The first 20 Attendees will recieve a free gift and samples (or for as long as supplies last).
December 5th - Barbering and Facial Hair Care
We will have one of our barber instructors give a presentation on hair styles, how to care for facial hair, and chosing the best style for the shape of your face . Students and instructors will then sit and talk with attendees individually about what may work best for them. The first 20 Attendees will recieve a free gift and samples (or for as long as supplies last).
January 9th - Creating Your Style
Feel like you have nothing to wear? Clary Sage College's Fashion Design instructor will talk about how to create your personal style, colors to choose and to avoid, and how to dress for every occasion. The instructor and fashion design students will talk with attendees individually about what may work best for them.The first 20 attendees will recieve a free gift and samples (or for as long as supplies last).
January 23rd - Fashion Swap
Closet getting full or style getting stale? Bring your lightly used clothes, purses, accessories, shoes and more to the Equality Center and trade them with other attendees to build a whole new style! Clary Sage Instructors and students will be on hand to help you make choices so will you look your best.
February 6th - Tips to Design Your Own Space
Clary Sage College's Interior Design instructor will speak on how to make your
space fit with your style. She will talk about what elements, color, accents to incorporate in
order to create a feminine, masculine and/or gender-neutral space.
Bring pictures of your space and get personal advice on how to update your space!
