Johannesburg Pride Parade and Festival
Johannesburg Pride is an open invitation for all to come and take a stride for Pride. Every year, thousands gather as we march through the streets of JHB in a stand for self-acceptance and legal rights, but also in celebration of our pride. The parade is open to everyone who wants to attend, and is free of charge.
This year’s event will take place on Saturday, 26 October. Gates open at 11:00 closes at 22:00
The Pride village will be set up on Rivonia Road, between Sandton Drive and 5Th Str, Sandton. Secure parking will be available at Sandton City Shopping Centre, the Gautrain station. In addition you are able to use Uber and meter taxis (Drop and pick up at My citi bus stop) and mini bus taxi’s.
PRIDE IS FREE ENTRY
NO VIP TICKETS
The march will leave from the assembly point at 14:00 en-route through the Sandton CBD.
FOOD & BEVERAGES
A variety of food and beverages will be available for purchase in the Pride Village. We are further pleased to announce that cashless payment solutions will be available at all stalls. As always, cash is still perfectly acceptable. The sale of alcoholic beverages will strictly be for persons over the age of 18.
No Cooler Boxes Allowed
No alcohol will be allowed into the Pride Village
NO alcohol will be allowed outside the Pride Village
Pride attendees are encouraged to remain inside the pride village when drinking as SAPS will be monitoring for public drinking which may lead to arrests.
For health reasons no own food will be allowed inside the pride area
