Artfully Queer Exhibition & Arts Program - Are we there yet?
This year's Artfully Queer theme asks creative Tasmanian LGBTIQ's to ponder the question "Are we there yet?". Reflect upon how far have we come, where we are now, where we'd like to be and how much further we have to go.
As always, interpret, challenge, expand or illustrate as creatively as you like. Exhibition open to all creative disciplines, including painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, ceramics, furniture, 3D object design, installation, literature, poetry, music, performance and video art. The curator will need to be consulted well in advance for work that requires more than a bit of floor and/or wall space. Usually we can find a way to include your ideas if there's the time and space. A small stage is available for experimental performances, panel discussions, and community workshops. Contact the curator with your ideas and we'll see what we can do.
For more information and to enter your work, fill out an online entry form at taspride.com by 6pm Monday the 4th of September. (earlier if you can please)
Exhibition opens: 6pm Friday the 6th of September and runs until Monday the 16th of September. 10am - 5pm daily.
